A recent study performed at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology has shown a strong correlation between long term sleep deprivation and fibromyalgia. For those living in larger cities and surrounding suburbs, access to in-office neurofeedback clinics is just a matter of a short 15 minute drive. But what about those living in remote areas or small towns with no clinics available?

Dubin, M.D., medical director for Sleep Recovery Centers, Inc. “After obtaining a written prescription from their primary care physician or psychiatrist, we ship a complete system package via UPS to anywhere in the US or Canada, and providing the new patient has home Wifi, the rest is easy”. The treatment uses a Skype HD video and audio feed for sensor hookup, direct communication between patient and technician and all follow up services. Tech support software allows for neurofeedback software monitoring and adjustments in near real-time. A Belgian study using this same neurofeedback delivery model showed significant improvements on sleep quality,  reduced sleep latency (time falling asleep) and increased short term memory during the day.
